What we're looking for in this role
The Business Developer, frequently termed Lead Generation Specialist, is a creative communicator and thrives in social environments. In this role, using your excellent interpersonal skills, you will be key in identifying business leads for new consulting and managed services engagements.
You're a self-starter with a great attitude. Having a continuous strategic growth mindset is what keeps you going. Executing a business sales strategy will help you enhance brand awareness and drive sales growth.
With your strong presentation skills, you have the ability to produce a visual story that stands out.
Responsibilities
- Contacting new and existing prospects to understand their unique challenges and how organizations can partner with Access Sciences to transform their information governance initiatives.
- Taking a hands-on approach to help make the introduction to new prospective client organizations regarding Access Sciences' services and expertise in transforming and taming information chaos.
- Conduct market analysis to understand industry trends and use insights to develop and execute business sales strategies to identify and connect with target prospects and personas.
- Monitor personal performance against established KPIs within Access Sciences' Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool and continuously evaluate process improvements for sales.
- Collaborate with the Marketing department and practice directors to develop marketing messages, participate in sector-specific conferences and other marketing events, and support campaigns.
Requirements
- Must reside in Houston, TX
- Must have a valid TX driver's license
- 5 years of proven experience in business development sales activities
- Proven experience in business development, selling professional services such as consulting
- Fluent in the Microsoft product suite, especially PowerPoint
- Flexible with travel to engage with prospects at their site locations
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with all levels in an organization (including C-Suite)
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
Education
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Marketing, Business, or other related field (or a high school diploma/GED)
Nice to Have
- Salesforce knowledge
- Industry knowledge in energy/oil and gas, especially in engineering and construction
- Certification from an accredited sales training program (e.g., Sandler Training)
