Located in Culver City, ACCESS LA is a referral hospital with 24hour Emergency services, where our technicians encounter all sort of cases when working closely with some of the most qualified doctors in the country. Add that we have numerous specialty departments and it’s possible a tech’s day could involve a Macaw with a broken beak, time in one of our many advanced operating rooms, watching our Orthopedic Surgeons replace a dog’s elbow, or operating an MRI. It’s a long list of unique experiences best suited to those who absolutely love caring for sick or injured animals in a high-paced, renowned animal hospital.
Job Purpose:
- Provide primary point of contact through which all technical questions, comments,
concerns, and issues can be handled - Decrease the time spent by doctors and technical staff replicating responsibilities or missing duties by providing oversight for all technical employees in the moment
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the individuals working on any given shift to ensure their work product is
excellent - Review any patient / doctor issues that come up in the moment to allow for expedient
and satisfactory resolution - Assign patients to the appropriate group based upon case severity and knowledge of
technical skill level of group technical employees - Updating full patient census forms and patient board regularly during shift
- Updating Triage Board as necessary in a Triage-Center-In-Certification-Process Hospital
- Ensure rounds are being appropriately handled as patients are transferred from one
person to the next - Acts as primary person for resource management of technical staff within the Emergency
Department - As assigned by the Technician Manager, trains staff in any technical areas requested
- Responsible for being primary key-holder OR Cubex resource as needed
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of ER experience in a lead/supervisor role

Compensation:
Non Credentialed Assistants $22/hr - $30/hr
Licensed Technicians -$25/hr - $38/hr
VTS - $41/hr
