Rate: $68,000/yr
Hours: Mon-Fri 8am-4:30pm
OVERVIEW OF PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES:
This position will oversee various billing and accounts receivable functions within the Finance Department. The Accounts Receivable Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing account analysis, billing, payment posting and designing reports to clearly communicate collection rates, revenue and utilization to program, finance and leadership teams. Additionally, the Accounts Receivable Supervisor will oversee the preparation of month and year-end account reconciliations and statistical reports for audit, Consolidated Fiscal Reporting and other internal and external reports.
The Accounts Receivable Supervisor will also be responsible for designing goals and prepare and administer formal staff evaluations, provide feedback and offer mentoring, in order to foster team growth and achieve agency outcomes.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
• Oversee Various Accounts Receivable and Billing Functions
• Review billing and accounts receivable data for the purpose of tracking, reporting and analysis, correcting any errors identified during the review.
• Review clearinghouse, general ledger and receipts registers to ensure all payments and denials are posted to the electronic health record and to the general ledger.
• Oversee and/or record recurring general journal entries, prepared using generally accepted accounting principles and accounting skills.
• Oversee and/or perform account analysis on a monthly and yearly basis, recording adjusting journal entries where errors are encountered.
• Periodically review accounts receivable agings and collection rate research in order to prioritize, coordinate and perform collections activities, escalations, and collectability analyses.
• Oversee the design and construction of clear and concise director reports and other reports to communicate financial data to program, finance, and agency leadership on a regular basis.
• Oversee rate structures in electronic health records to ensure alignment with rates set by regulatory bodies and insurance plan contracts.
• Regularly monitor claims created by electronic health record software for regulatory and contractual compliance.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONAL/ORGANIZATIONAL SUPPORT:
- Be aware of billing and finance regulations from CMS, OMH, OPWDD, OCFS, OASAS and other governmental oversight agencies, in order to identify potential fraud, waste and abuse and work with agency QA on data collection for the purpose of mitigating impacts.
QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES:

- Ability to foster communication between program, finance, systems and leadership teams across Access entities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree with 2 or more years of finance experience or a minimum of 5 years of related experience.
- Medical billing experience
- Experience with Electronic Health Record software (IMA, Evolv, MillinPro, etc.) preferred.
- An intermediate or higher level of proficiency with office productivity software, such as Microsoft Excel, Access, Outlook, One Note, etc.
