About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Community Habilitation Worker to provide support and training to individuals with developmental disabilities in Sullivan County. The ideal candidate will have experience working with related populations, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to document services and understand regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Provide skill building training and supports to individuals with developmental disabilities
- Teach daily living skills such as money handling, socialization, cooking, and job search
- Support individuals in achieving personal outcomes and growth
- Travel to assigned locations and attend required trainings
- Document services and report progress and barriers with each client
Qualifications:
- Prior experience working with individuals with Intellectual Developmental Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorders, or mental health background
- Strong interpersonal and engagement skills
- Ability to document services and understand regulations
