Access TLC Hospice is currently seeking Certified Home Health Aides (CHHA) for hospice visits in Santa Barbara . Requirements include:
- Current and valid California Certified Home Health Aide Certificate (CHHA)
- Current CPR certification
- Valid California Driver’s License with proof of auto insurance
- Social Security Card and/or proof of eligibility to work in U.S.
In this role, you will visit patients in their homes or nursing facilities and visit multiple patients per day.
Position is per diem; $30 per visit made. Mileage is reimbursed at the current IRS rate.
Position Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with all Activities of Daily Living (ADL's), including eating, dressing, bathing, toileting, brief changes, repositioning, activities, and all personal care and grooming.
- Make beds, change linens, and keep patient rooms/areas organized and tidy.
- Ability to show genuine kindness and respect to our patients and always ensure their dignity and privacy.
- Demonstrate proper patient lifting and transferring skills.
- Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate ability to work well within a team and independently.
- Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner and to demonstrate strong time management skills.
- Ability to take direction from RN Case Managers and Supervisors
