ADSD Driver - Tuesday-Friday - 8 : 00 am - 6 : 30 pm
JOB PURPOSE : The ADSD Driver will drive a wheelchair-accessible vehicle and provide door-through-door service while transporting clients with mobility limitations. The Driver will ensure clients' safe and timely transportation while providing a comfortable service from the origin of the trip until reaching the final destination. Additionally, while on duty, the Driver will function as an Access to Healthcare Network (AHN) representative and relay information about other programs to clients.
Duties / RESPONSIBILITIES :
Transportation of Clients
- Will transport seniors and people with disabilities throughout Washoe County, Carson County, Douglas County, Story County and Lyon County areas to physician appointments and to pick up medical supplies, prescriptions, and groceries at previously designated zones and locations.
- Gives mobility assistance and transports clients in a wheelchair up or down ramps and ensures clients and wheelchair or mobility equipment have been safely secured.
- Will provide door-through-door service bringing clients to their residences (home or nursing facility) and the exact location of the medical appointment.
- Assist with personal belongings and provide arm assistance without hesitation.
- If a route is finished early, the driver will come into the office and help with other duties assigned.
