accessAbilities, a local Homecare agency, is immediately hiring Caregivers (Home Health Aides) to assist individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities in Irwin, PA.
Caregivers (IDD Attendants) support disabled adults with household duties, life skills, and community outings.
Household duties include: assisting with laundry, housekeeping, preparing meals, personal care, and running errands.
Community Outings may include: going shopping, taking the client out for fun activities such as mini golf or a dance, getting coffee, driving the individual to the bank or an appointment.
Life skills may include: Prompting individuals to dress appropriately for the weather, prompting for grooming or medication reminders. Teach money management and budgeting, etc.

Position Requirements:
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to lift, carry, push and/or pull up to 40 lbs. without assistance and up to 200 lbs. with assistance (hoyer lift)
- Valid driver’s license/auto insurance
- Ability to obtain ACT 33/34 and FBI clearances
Preferred:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous experience in Direct Care work, or as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Home Health Aide or Direct Support Professional
- Prior experience with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities
