accessAbilities, a local Home Care agency, is hiring Special Needs Caregivers to assist adults who have intellectual or developmental disabilities in the Greensburg and Murrysville, PA area.
Special Needs Caregivers support disabled individuals with household duties and personal care services.
Household duties include:
- assisting with laundry and housekeeping
- preparing meals and washing dishes
- shopping and running errands
Personal care services include:
- lift / transfer from/to bed
- bathing, dressing, grooming
- use of equipment such as wheelchairs, manual/electric lifts, and leg braces, etc.
We offer flexible schedules. Evenings or Weekend Hours currently available. Work when you are available - up to 24 hours per week. Pay rate for part-time is $19.00 per hour.

Position Requirements:
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to lift, carry, push and/or pull up to 40 lbs. without assistance and up to 200 lbs. with assistance (hoyer lift)
- Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
- Ability to obtain ACT 33/34 and FBI clearances
Preferred:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous experience in Direct Care, Home Health Aide, C.N.A. or Direct Support Professional
- Prior experience with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities
