Key Responsibilities :

As a Lead DSP, you'll :

  • Provide Leadership & Mentorship : Be the role model for your team, leading by example, guiding and mentoring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to enhance their skills and achieve their goals.
  • Support Personal Goal Achievement : Help individuals work toward their personal goals by ensuring that their Person-Centered Individualized Support Plans (PCISP) are followed, and progress is carefully documented.
  • Assist with Day-to-Day Operations : Oversee site scheduling, manage staffing needs, and ensure a safe living environment for individuals.
  • Healthcare Support : Ensure individuals receive proper healthcare, including medication administration, monitoring side effects, and scheduling appointments.
  • Promote Team Collaboration : Foster teamwork, communicate effectively, and create a positive work environment by listening to team members and offering training & support.
  • Ensure Compliance : Stay up to date with company policies, procedures, state regulations, and HIPAA guidelines to ensure all services are delivered with integrity and accuracy.

Requirements

What We're Looking For :

We're seeking an experienced and passionate individual who meets the following criteria :

  • Experience : At least 1 year in a human services field or a supervisory role (preferably in human services).
  • Leadership Skills : Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team, ensuring a positive and productive environment.
  • Human Services Knowledge : Deep understanding of human services, and a genuine interest in supporting individuals to live independently.
  • Strong Organizational & Communication Skills : Ability to manage multiple tasks, schedules, and documentation while communicating effectively with your team, individuals served, and supervisors.
  • Patience & Resilience : Ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations and stay focused on the goal of improving the lives of the individuals you support.
  • Tech-Savvy : Comfortable using software applications for documentation and communication.
  • Compliance : Ability to adhere to policies, procedures, and state regulations while maintaining privacy and confidentiality (HIPAA).
  • Qualifications :

  • At least 18 years old
  • Experience working with the developmental disabilities population
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to follow rules, directions, and company guidelines
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, which includes availability for all shifts (day, afternoon, evenings, weekends, overnights, etc.)
