Senior Administrative Assistant-DDABI
Reports to: Program Director, DD/ABI Services
Location: 1603 Court Street Syracuse, NY
Schedule: M-F: 8a-4p
Pay Rate: $19.00-$20.00 Hourly

Our focus is supporting individuals by ways of residential housing, mental health and clinical services, and immersing our participants in community engagement. Working closely with the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities and the Office of Mental Health, we support 27 housing locations and 3 administrative buildings.
About the Role
We are looking for a proactive employee to provide administrative support to the DD/ABI department and oversee the performance of the Administrative Assistants in the DD/ABI department.
Responsibilities include:

Monitor EHR documentation

Assist staff with equipment and office and building procedures

Supervise DD/ABI Administrative Assistant

File participant documentation in participant record in a timely manner

File participant documentation in participant record in a timely manner

Mail documents and correspondence to participants/families/care managers in a timely manner, as requested by supervisor

Implement an archive system for participant records

Maintain staff certification files, fire drills, regulation books, and policy manuals; copy new regulations and distribute to appropriate personnel, as needed

Provide ongoing direction, support, and regular one on one supervision to staff

Oversee the recruitment, interviewing and hiring process for the department

Develop and ensure implementation of an orientation training program for new Administrative Assistants
Education & Experience
High School diploma/GED required. Business school graduate preferred. One year of administrative assistant experience preferred.
Conditions of Employment
Must have a valid New York State drivers license in accordance with the Agency Vehicle and Driving Policy and transportation necessary to meet program needs. Must be able to lift 75 pounds.
