Seeking a Direct Support Professional for a young man with a Developmental Disability
You can make a difference in the life of someone special! We are looking for an engaging and creative staff (1:1 support) to work with a young man with a developmental disability who is located in Central Square, NY. In this critical role, you will provide support to the person while completing tasks and activities such as assisting with personal care routine, providing advocacy, establishing and following routines and expectations, and attending social and community activities. The ideal candidate will have effective communication, be compassionate, and must be reliable. Must be comfortable with reminding and supporting individual with his personal care routine and supporting with alternative communication methods.
Driver’s License and own vehicle is required.
Hours: Up to 10 hours/week; Saturday mornings; Tuesdays- hours flexible
Pay rate: $23/hour, additionally $.67 per mile for transportation reimbursement
Location: Central Square, NY
Reliable transportation is required. Background check, fingerprinting, and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by non-profit agency.
