Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept:
- Performs all PT procedures as prescribed by the physician in a patient's place of residence when authorized, instructed and supervised by a qualified Physical Therapist.
- Consults frequently with the Physical Therapist responsible for the patients and has the ability to read and interpret instructions as given by the Physical Therapist.
- Assess and identify needs of the patient and participates in care coordination with the Physical Therapist, reporting all identified needs and abnormal signs/symptoms.
- Be a coach! Educate patients on exercises and activities they can do at home.
- Team up with other healthcare pros to coordinate top-notch patient care.
- Keep detailed and up-to-date patient records.
Your Extraordinary Abilities:
- A current, unemcumbered license to practice in the state of Kansas as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Physical Therapy Assistant (Home Health experience is a plus!).
- Graduate of two-year college level program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association or the Council of Medical Education and Hospitals of the AMA.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with patients, families, and team members.
- Ability to follow individualized treatment plans.
- Strong problem-solving skills to navigate unique patient challenges.
- Empathy and compassion to support patients throughout their recovery.
- Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple patients and tasks.
