This is a hybrid position reporting to our West Chester office on Thursday's. Annual compensation is $75,000-85,000.
JOB SUMMARY: AccessLex Institute (the Company) is a non-profit member organization underpinned by nearly 200 American Bar Association-approved nonprofit and state-affiliated law schools and dedicated to the betterment of legal education. AccessLex Institute conducts and commissions research to illuminate the latest data and evidence on the most critical issues facing legal education today.
The Grants Program Administrator position, reporting to the Legal Department and working closely with the Companys Center for Legal Education Excellence (the Center) and other stakeholders involved in the Companys grants program, provides operational support relating to the administration of the Companys grants program. The position administers the Companys grants program and prepares recommendations for operational enhancements and efficiencies.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Administer the Companys grants program through all phases of the grantmaking process, including
- Advising potential grantees about grants program requirements and processes;
- Coordinating grant application, monitoring, and close-out processes;
- Preparing written summaries of grant applications, funding recommendations, and Board reports;
- Coordinating the process for the preparation and execution of grant contracts;
- Monitoring performance milestones, invoicing and final reports relative to grant contract requirements;
- Monitoring grantee compliance with grant requirements;
- Assisting with budget monitoring;
- Revising grant-related policies and procedures and making recommendations for improved best practices with regard to the administration of the Companys grants program; and
- Building out and administering processes for tracking and summarizing grant deliverables relative to the Companys strategic goals.
- Undertake special projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

- Bachelors degree
- PREFERRED
- Project management experience
- Three years related experience
- Proficiency with Foundant, the Companys grant management software
- Knowledge of best practices for grantmaking
- Experience working in a non-profit or higher education setting

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK: This is a full-time, hybrid, exempt position; this position is expected to come to the West Chester office one day per week; the incumbent is expected to be present and accessible for at least 40 hours per week, subject to approved leave time, travel and other absences as described in the Employee Handbook or as otherwise agreed by the Company. The Companys standard hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:15 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST.
