We are currently looking for an Employment Specialist to instruct and provide support to our individuals with disabilities in the employment settings and to ensure that the assignments are met according to employers' requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assure all individuals are treated with dignity and respect.
- To adhere to all agency safety policies, including safe driving and seat belt practices.
- Assist individuals (i.e. through demonstration, repetition, verbal and gestural instruction) in learning job tasks.
- Assist Individuals in establishing community employment relationships, schedules, and adherence to work policy.
- Support Individuals as needed (i.e. setting work pace, implementing work responsibilities, correcting work, etc.) to ensure success on the job.
- Problem-solving issues with the individual and employer.
- Assist in the development and implementation of all individual plans for services, which assist in increasing individual participation in daily activities.
- Completion of all assigned documentation, including daily schedules, annual summaries, progress notes, data sheets, etc.
- Actively participate in staff training and assigned meetings

Follows and implements all clinical services and programs as in-serviced
- Verbal Interactions as per Behavioral support training
- Physical interventions as per behavioral support training

- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Transport Individuals to/from work
- Assist in working out schedules and schedule conflicts
- Assist coworkers by providing support as needed.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma, GED, or an associate degree in a related field.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students, staff, and families.
- Knowledge of and experience with positive behavioral support techniques.
- CPR/NCI Certification (Pursuing Cert.).
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet agency transportation requirements.
- Ability to lift independently up to 50 lbs. and up to 90 lbs. with assistance.
- Stand for 70% of the workday, with frequent kneeling, bending, and stooping.
- Working knowledge of employment supports. Ability to read/write English, ability to instruct individuals. Ability to pass CESP certification
