Distribution Manager

Job Summary

The Shipping and Receiving Manager is Acchroma’s subject matter expert for all aspects of the shipping and receiving function. This role oversees the shipping and receiving functions of multiple locations. All functional personnel are direct reports. Reports directly to the Production Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 Manages the shipping and receiving activities of multiple facilities.

 Assures procedures are consistently followed.

 Coordinates with other functional areas to meet quality and service metrics.

 Leverages technology to maximize efficiency.

 Communicates with logistics and transportation partners.

 Instills a culture of quality control.

 Impeccably maintains pertinent records.

 Organizes the physical footprint of the department to create a visual workplace.

 Performs any/all hands on functions of the department.

Qualifications

 High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience

and/or training

 OSHA forklift safety certificate

 At least one year of supervisory experience

 Previous experience managing multiple locations preferred

 Demonstrated proficiency with parcel, LTL, and courier shipping/management software

 Understanding of terminology and practices of the industry

 Effective verbal and written communication skills

 Proficiency with MS-Office suite

 Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common

fractions, and decimals.

 Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral

instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standard situations.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Pay: $55,000.00 but up to $70,000.00 per year for a superstar
