ACCIONA Energía is committed to delivering exceptional safety performance and fostering a culture of excellence. As a Regional Safety Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the effective implementation of safety programs and initiatives across our operational sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support site managers in aligning with corporate best practices and quality control measures.
- Travel to various sites to support audits and investigations, providing hands-on safety training and expertise.
- Collaborate with the corporate team to ensure consistency in company programs across all regions.
- Develop and implement site-specific safety programs, including emergency preparedness, fall protection, and lockout/tagout protocols.
- Conduct regular on-site training sessions for employees, promoting a culture of safety and well-being.
- Perform root cause analysis for incident investigations and develop lessons learned to improve safety standards.
- Ensure proper documentation of trainings and OJT completions in the LMS, maintaining accurate records and tracking progress.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Technology, Quality Management, Training, and Development, or Renewable Energy Technology.
- 2 years of experience in safety management, preferably within the energy or industrial sectors.
- Strong ability to influence others, coach, and mentor site staff, possessing excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to think critically and analyze situations, determining effective resolutions in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 40% in the region.
