Responsibilities:
- Support technicians' needs to improve their way of working.
- Perform frequent safety behavior observations.
- Promote mentoring of technicians through standardizing on-the-job training (OJT).
- Conduct emergency response drills.
- Coordinate and perform training on-site and with regional training providers.
- Standardize the use of tools, personal protective equipment (PPE), and technical documentation.
- Work collaboratively with other departments and countries to share best practices, lessons learned, and safety training.
- Share successful safety improvements from other sites within the region to foster consistency and continuous improvement.
- Ensure that all sites in the region are aligned with O&M Engineering standards and procedures and the current industry best practices both locally and globally.
- Support site managers' action plans from audits, incidents, or company initiatives.
- Work with site managers to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans to enhance operational safety efficiency.
- Act as a safety resource for site managers, providing expertise and advice or improving site safety standards.
- Support site staff during training sessions, audits, and drills.
- Ensure proper documentation of trainings and OJT completions in the learning management system (LMS).
- Ensure that all sites in the region are aligned with each other.
- Support the safety department to reduce incidents and improve reporting.
- Perform root cause analysis for incident investigations.
- Develop incident investigations into lessons learned.
- Conduct regular on-site training sessions for employees.
- Perform safety audits at each site within the region to identify hazards, ensure compliance with safety regulations (e.g., Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)), and recommend corrective actions.
- Support the implementation of site-specific safety programs, including emergency preparedness, fall protection, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and other safety protocols.
- Ensure that safety trainings, audits, and improvement activities are properly documented and tracked within the corporate reporting systems.
- Ensure that all sites in the region are aligned with safety department programs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Technology, Quality Management, Training and Development, Renewable Energy Technology.
- 2 years of experience in safety management, preferably within the energy or industrial sectors.
- 2 years of experience as a technician in energy or industrial sectors.
- Certified in safety regulations and quality standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO, ANSI).
- Strong ability to influence others, coach, and mentor site staff.
- Possess the ability to think and analyze situations and determine and implement effective resolutions in a fast-paced environment.
- Strengths include excellent communication, organization, positive leadership, and negotiation skills.
- Able to work in an outdoor environment.
- Ability to instruct personnel in rescue procedures.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to travel up to 40% in the region.
- Hold or be able to obtain a passport.
- Fluency in Spanish or French is a plus.

- Base Pay: $65,000 – $90,000 annual base (based on experience, education, and skillset)
- 10% Annual Performance Bonus
