Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
- Provide companionship and engage in conversation with patients to enhance their emotional well-being.
- Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper nutrition for patients.
- Perform light housekeeping duties, such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing to ensure a safe and comfortable environment.
- Monitor vital signs (temperature, pulse, blood pressure) and report any changes or concerns to the supervising nurse or physician.
- Administer medications as directed by a healthcare professional and assist with reminders for medication schedules.
- Help patients with range-of-motion exercises or physical therapy activities, as directed.
- Report any changes in patient condition, behavior, or needs to the healthcare team.
- Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
