Job Summary
The Revenue Cycle Director will oversee and optimize the revenue cycle operations across multiple centers. This role includes managing financial analysis, billing, collections, partnerships, cash flow, and ensuring seamless business office performance. The Director will play a critical role in aligning the offices operations with the organization's mission, vision, and values.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily operations of the business office, including Registration, Medical Records, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Scheduling, Insurance Verification, and Collections.
- Monitor workflows and reassign staff as necessary to meet workload demands.
- Analyze operational reports to ensure optimal business office performance.
- Evaluate registration, insurance verification, and cash posting for data accuracy and integrity.
- Maintain and reduce bad debt in alignment with organizational goals.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of managed care contracts, including Medicare and Medicaid.
- Prepare and present weekly/monthly reports to management as required.
- Implement processes and action plans directed by executive leadership.
- Maintain accounts receivable days within organizational benchmarks.
- Communicate contract-specific details to relevant stakeholders, ensuring operational clarity.
- Collaborate with physicians and administrators to address activities affecting patient scheduling, registration, and insurance verification.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelors degree in Business or Healthcare Administration is required.
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience, including staff leadership, delegation, and coaching, is required.
- At least 3 years of full-cycle revenue operations experience within ambulatory surgery centers is required.
- Strong understanding of patient accounting principles, including managing large volumes of accounts receivable and payable in a healthcare setting.
