ATS is actively hiring a Materials Engineer / Hardware Engineer to join the Engineering Services & Solutions Division in Annapolis Junction, MD . Ideal candidate will have a background in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Physics, Failure Analysis, Chemistry, Bioengineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related scientific field. Should be patient, highly detailed, and take care to follow current safety practices. Must have experience troubleshooting electronic systems or electronic components.
Must have experience processing microelectronic components and semiconductor materials using techniques and systems including any of :
- Mechanical grinding and polishing
- Wet chemical processing
- Reactive plasma etching
- Thin film deposition
- Ion beam milling or sputtering
Experience / Education requirement : Shall have experience as a hardware engineer, analyzing complex hardware systems for SIGINT solutions, along with a Bachelor's Degree in Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related discipline from an accredited college or university. Five (5) years of additional hardware design engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
Experience using optical microscopes or scanning electron microscopes (SEM, S / TEM, EDX, etc.) for sample inspection would be highly beneficial.
Must have a current TS / SCI w / Poly.
Pay Range : There are many factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is $190,000 - $210,000
