What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Systems Engineer (2024-0181) position at Acclaim Technical Services?
We are actively hiring a Senior Systems Engineer with TS/SCI clearance and polygraph to join our Mission Technology and Solutions Business Unit, working in Chantilly, VA.
You will work as part of a team supporting a large virtual environment that enables mission-critical operations. The ideal candidate will be comfortable interacting with senior management, technical peers, administrative staff, and other stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of diverse engineering projects.
Required skills:
- Installation, configuration and maintenance of VMware vSphere components
- Installation and configuration of Microsoft and/or Linux operating systems
- Understanding of networking concepts and technologies
- Understanding of storage and backup products/technologies
Desired skills:
- Experience installing/configuring/maintaining Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI)
- Active Directory and group policy configuration
- Familiarity with scripting or other automation tools
- Experience securing systems to achieve government security accreditation
- Ability to brief technical projects to stakeholders of varying backgrounds and levels of expertise
- Prior experience directing the work of a small technical team (~ 6 people)
