General Job Description:
In collaboration with Sales and Construction Operations Leadership and under the supervision of the Director of QA/QC, this position is primarily responsible for the oversite and assurance of the quality of construction and welding activities across multiple project sites within the designated region. This position involves implementing and maintaining QA/QC procedures in accordance with ASME codes and other relevant standards including any client site specific requirements. The Regional Manager of QA/QC must have extensive experience in quality control, a strong understanding of ASME codes, and the ability to lead and mentor all QA/QC team members to be highly productive and prepared to execute all assigned tasks.

This is an exempt position. Workdays are scheduled from Monday through Friday. Typically, work hours begin and end between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm as scheduled with the position's supervisor.
Travel
20 - 40% of the time to and from the primary office to regional branch offices, Fabrication facilities and project sites.

Supervises
- QA/QC Managers
- Ensure the Regional QA/QC leadership and staff are fully qualified and trained to be highly efficient in executing all Quality Control functions with little to no disruptions to shop and field productivity.
- Continuous pursuit of process and productivity improvement opportunities.
- Collaborates with management and senior staff across sales and production departments within the designated region.
- Maintain compliance with all company, client, and government regulations and requirements.
- Ensure all QA/QC regional team members demonstrate a supportive and collaborative mindset with all construction and sales personnel.
- Ensure QA/QC regional team members are available and capable of resolving defects/issues while mitigating costs and can effectively communicate findings/status to management.
- Ensure proper staffing levels are maintained across the designated regional area to meet current business needs.
- Provide continuous status updates of the regional area to the Director of QA/QC.
- Play an active role in implementation and maintenance of ACCO’s Quality Control Program and related documents.
- Play an active role in the selection and management of third-party QA/QC subcontractors when required to supplement in-house resources.
- Assist the Director of QA/QC in managing departmental expenses, equipment and fleet vehicles.
- Participate in departmental and other leadership meetings as assigned by the Director of QA/QC.
- Provide technical direction, support and mentoring to the QA/QC regional staff.
- Prepares and presents technical and program information to team members and management.
- Keep opens lines of communication with Project Management and Construction Leadership to share experiences and achieve common goals.
- Foster a culture of accountability with all QA/QC team members and subcontractors.
- Demonstrate and promote ACCO’s Core values at all times.
- Actively participate in ACCO’s safety programs and demonstrate a commitment to a goal of ZERO injury or incidents.
- Other duties as assigned by the QA/QC Regional Manager.
- 10 years of experience in a leadership role with a Quality Control Program related to the construction industry including industrial construction, hydronic HVAC, plumbing, low temperature refrigeration, and process piping fabrication and installation.
- 5 years of experience in a management role directing people with varying skill levels and backgrounds in a construction related setting.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree with 10 years of overall experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Current certification in accordance with AWS QC-1 as a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) with minimum 10 years’ experience.
- Excellent leadership skills including honesty, integrity, patience, empathy, and a strong work ethic.
- Understanding of construction quality control, codes and general construction management.
- Experience with fabrication shop and field inspection and practices.
- Effective communicator at all levels of the business
- Ability to interpret documents such as design drawings, specifications, building and welding codes, operation and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Moderate experience with various business and software technologies
- MS Office: Word, Excel, Project

- Proficient in English
- Degree or certification in construction management or engineering.
- Experience and understanding of each of the trades (sheet metal, pipe fitting, process piping, plumbing, electrical, controls, electrical, site utilities, start-up
- ICC/ICBO/ASNT Certifications
- CRM/PM Platforms: Bidtracer
