Job Summary
ACCO Brands is seeking a Sr. Financial Data Analyst to join the Americas Shared Finance team. This role reports to the Sr. Director, Americas Shared Finance and collaborates with business and finance leaders of the Americas team. The Sr. Financial Data Analyst will be responsible for managing and coordinating various reporting projects across the Americas segment to create or improve financial insights capabilities. This person will possess exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills and thrive in a fast-paced environment. They will be a motivated self-starter who can excel in both an independent and team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and deploy queries / reports / dashboards for analyzing accounting and financial results to enable insightful and actionable storytelling.
- Manage reporting & analysis projects, including research, design / development, testing, post-implementation review and everything in between.
- Measure and report data, including metrics and Key Performance Indicators to help improve our customer experience.
- Assemble and summarize data to structure reports on financial status, risks and opportunities.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations to share critical findings with stakeholders / senior management.
- Act as a liaison with the company's IT department when system updates are implemented, when new data is being integrated into the database tables, when creating dashboards, and overall financial data governance while verifying and ensuring accurate exchange of information between systems and databases.
- Consolidate and analyze financial data, considering the company's goals and financial standing.
- Provide audit support to internal and external auditors, and IPE / systems validation / testing, as needed.
- Identify operating improvements, deep dive on cost structures, and analyze business opportunities / investments.
- Possess an analytical mindset and ability to work within a multidisciplinary and multicultural arena is expected.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership of results, and willingness to ask questions proactively.
