Job Description
Job Summary :
The Public Relations Manager at Raffles & Fairmont Doha will be responsible for developing and executing strategic public relations initiatives to enhance the hotel’s image, build brand awareness, and foster media relations. This role will focus on positioning Raffles & Fairmont Doha as a premier luxury hospitality destination, driving positive media coverage, managing crisis communications, and supporting marketing efforts. This position demands creativity, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of luxury brand management in a dynamic market.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Work closely and in partnership with the Director of Communications and the Marketing Manager to develop and initiate PR plans and strategies for all aspects of the hotel including rooms, food and beverage, events and spa and fitness.
- Together with the Marketing Communications Director develop and maintain relations with key local, regional media and social influencers.
- Be the guardian of the brand for all collaterals and promotional materials, including brochures, marketing copy, etc.
- Assist in the development and execution of the hotel advertising plans including directing and managing any third party creative or media placement agencies.
- Assist in managing and directing the various PR agencies utilized by the hotel including liaising with Brand PR agencies and corporate associates.
- Co-ordinate invite lists and RSVPs for media, influencers and other special events.
- Assist with photo shoots and filming for marketing and PR purposes.
- Having the overall responsibility for the generic PR email inbox including responding to enquiries received and subsequent follow ups if required.
- Conduct media and influencers site visits and assist other commercial department colleagues if necessary with key client visits.
- Liaise with media monitoring agency and conduct systematic filing of all press clippings and distribution of highlights to key management at the hotel.
- Preparation, administration and distribution of press releases, media mailings and updates as and when required of media database, images database, PR calendar and keep everyone in the department advised of meetings and activities.
- Attend marketing and communication and other meetings as directed by the DOMC.
- Attend all compulsory training courses as directed by T&C division.
- Learn and adopt all SOPs and training related to the role and any initiatives or programs implemented.
- Manage duties assigned by the Director of Marketing Communications and provide support to the Digital Marketing team as required.
