You are a multi-tasker and able to work independently performing a wide range of accounting, accounts payable and general cashing tasks to include supporting other members of the team.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director of Credit & Group Billing, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Coordinate interdepartmentally as it relates to group and guest issues
- Participate in training activities to improve knowledge skills
- Communicate well with all clients and guests, anticipate and resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner
- Monitor, supervise and prepare month-end balance sheet account reconciliation
- Prepare forecast vs. actual group commissions and communicate variance to Director of Finance
- Prepare and complete the income audit two days weekly
- Prepare and generate timely group, catering and wedding billing and process payment
- Inspect all in-house accounts to ensure adherence to resort’s credit policy and assist with collection efforts as necessary
- Monitor accounts receivable as required
- Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
- Assist in the month end reporting and procedures
- Perform filing and administrative tasks
- Follow departmental policies and procedures
- Follow all safety policies
- Other duties as assigned
- 3 years in hospitality accounting or equivalent experience required
- Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications or relevant computer applications required
- University/College degree in a related discipline an asset
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Ability to multi task in a high speed environment
- Attention to detail a must
- Ability to adhere to deadlines
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
- Remain calm and courteous at all time
