Job Description

Apply your analytical and strategic planning strengths as Director, Revenue Management, where you will successfully balance inventory and demand to maximize room revenue opportunities and guest satisfaction.
Reporting to the General Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Responsibilities
- Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
- Manage demand, forecasting and inventory as it relates to driving revenue opportunity for the Hotel
- Oversight of sister Fairmont property.
- Maximize room revenues through a thorough understanding of all booking channels, managing inventory and rate accordingly
- Regular meetings with Asset Management
- Prepare an annual budget for approval and administer that budget in a fiscally responsible manner
- Monitor transient and group booking pace in order to determine pricing and availability controls for all reservations distribution sources
- Management of meeting space and food & beverage revenue optimization
- Monitor key indicators of hotel performance and third-party intelligence sources to identify revenue opportunities
- Oversee the Reservations Team and liaise with Front Office and Sales to ensure the highest level of guest service is maintained while maximizing profit
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of analytical reports
- Play an active role in the strategic plan, marketing plan and budgeting processes
- Stay current with industry changes and how it may impact demand
- Prepare and present weekly analytical reports
- Follow departmental policies and procedures
- Follow all safety policies

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. - A minimum of 5 years experience in a related area, with proven experience in analysis and problem solving required
- Must be extremely detailed oriented
- Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications and relevant computer applications required
- University/College degree in a related discipline required
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal required
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
