SUMMARY
Accord Federal Services LLC is seeking experienced Health Care Environmental Services (EVS) Supervisors to help lead our contractor team on-site in support of the Central Arkansas Veteran's Health Care facilities in Little Rock & North Little Rock, Arkansas. To apply, candidates must hold the Certified Health Care Environmental Services Technician (CHEST) Certification.
Our EVS supervisors play a key role in providing a clean and sanitized environment for Veterans, their families, visitors, and the hospital staff.
JOB DUTIES
· Adhere to the guidelines put forth by the Program Manager and/or Company leadership.
· Coach & evaluate janitorial staff.
· Participate in regular staff planning meetings and communicate with team members to coordinate housekeeping activities.
· Plans work and staffing schedules and areas of work to ensure adequate services are rendered.
· Assists the Program Manager in hiring new employees.
· Track and manage daily cleaning services via continuous walk-throughs and computer applications.
· Conducts regular inspections and makes recommendations to the Program Manager as needed.
· Ensures patient rooms, bathrooms, beds, furniture, etc. are cleaned per EVS standards, in addition to all areas cleaned by Accord Federal staff.
· Ensures staff completes all detail work including high dusting, low dusting, cleaning corners, edges, hopper closets, external vents, window blinds, soap dispensers, outside of trash cans.
· Ensures correct handling and disposal of regular trash, medical waste, and soiled linens using proper PPE.
· Ensures outside of the facility is maintained in a safe, clean, and attractive manner.
· Counsels staff members when necessary, according to company Human Resources policies and guidelines.
· Conducts routine inventory of housekeeping supplies.
Requirements
- MUST possess a Certified Health Care Environmental Services Technician (CHEST) Certification.
· Possesses at least two (2) years’ experience in supervising Janitorial Services.
· Demonstrates mastery of maintaining the environment of care in the health care field by being fully present, approachable, and monitoring the work of the janitorial staff.
· Must show ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with all team members.
· Must possess effective communication skills.
· Plays a vital role in maintaining cleanliness, safety, and infection control within the proposed healthcare facilities.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 software
Working Conditions: On Government hospital site. Weekend work as required.
