Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist (CWI & NDT Certified)
Location: Midland, TX

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team and ensure the highest levels of product quality and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Monitoring & Compliance: Ensure all products meet relevant quality standards (API, ASME, etc.) through inspections, testing, and qualification of materials, structures, and components throughout the production process.
- Employee Training: Monitor, qualify, and train employees on quality standards and industry-specific procedures, including API, ASME, and other applicable work instructions.
- Safety & Supervision: Collaborate with foremen, supervisors, and administrative staff to enforce and support safe work practices and the overall functionality of the facility. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and take action in case of non-compliance.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all quality inspections, findings, and reports. Manage and update various quality documents, databases, and logs. Assist with QA/QC training, clerical tasks, and report distribution.
- Product Testing & Measurement: Conduct product tests, including ultrasonic (UT) testing, and ensure accurate measurement of materials. Read and interpret technical drawings to assess product quality.
- Material Compliance: Verify that materials, parts, and final products are compliant with all relevant standards, and ensure that received materials are properly marked with heat numbers and identifiers.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and work closely with production teams to ensure continuous quality enhancement throughout the production cycle.
- Flexibility & Adaptability: Ability to handle evolving project needs in a fast-paced, task-oriented work environment, often under tight timelines.
Required Qualifications:
- Certifications: Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Certification required. Experience with Ultrasonic Testing (UT) preferred.
- Experience: Prior experience in QA/QC roles within a manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of quality standards (API, ASME, etc.).
- Skills: Ability to evaluate weld discontinuities, read and interpret drawings, perform tests and measurements, and manage document processing. Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Bilingual: Bilingual abilities in Spanish are preferred but not required.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand or walk up to 90% of the workday, with occasional bending, squatting, and use of ladders/stairs.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work a flexible schedule to meet project and operational needs.
