What are the responsibilities and job description for the Carpenter position at AccorHotel?
Summary of Responsibilities :
Reporting to the Director of Engineering responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following :
- Consistently offer professional engaging and proactive guest service while supporting fellow Colleagues.
- Demonstrate Accor core values in all interactions.
- Establish and maintain quantitative standards of performance and utilize performance management principles to maximize productivity.
- Assist guests regarding property facilities in an informative and helpful way
- Respond promptly to service requests from all facility departments and outlets.
- Use store and maintain all hand tools including power hand tools and woodworking machines.
- Assist with making doors frames grounds skirting architrave and all kinds of fitments to support maintenance of hotel facilities
- Prepare and plan minor modification and improvement works in the hotel and perform preventative maintenance (PM) tasks in guest rooms ensuring all furniture fixtures and fittings are in excellent condition.
- Repair and maintain wooden structures furniture and fixtures throughout the resort.
- Responsible for movements and replacements of all master keys and security locks system in the hotel.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential issues before they become significant problems.
- Work closely with the maintenance team to ensure timely and effective repairs.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections of facility and surrounding areas and perform maintenance and service as required
- Dismantle and reassemble equipment after completion of inspections testing or repairs
- Assist with developing and monitoring an effective inventory control process for designated supplies
- Ensure that collaborative working relationships are established and maintained with relevant vendors
- Assist with hotel compliance to all Government regulations pertaining to building code requirements health fire and life safety programmes
- Comply with OSHA regulations Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and safety precautions
- Actively participate in the hotels energy management emergency preparedness occupational health & safety and environmental programmes
- Ability to make a difference through our Corporate Social Responsibility activities.
- Strict adherence to all Health & Safety training guidelines and work practices previous during and following an epidemic (whether local or global) that are established by Accor local government international bodies including the World Health Organization (WHO) and Center for disease control (CDC).
