Job Description
The primary duties of the doorperson are to welcome our guests in a pleasant and helpful manner, and to provide assistance into and out of the property as necessary.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and nametag while working.
- Comply at all times with Fairmont standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
- Greet guest in a pleasant manner by opening doors
- Load luggage onto carts
- Escort guests checking in with luggage to the front desk
- Call for cabs
- Call the garage for valet cards
- Give directions to guests
- Open front door for guests
- Call for shuttle
- Load and unload shuttle with luggage
- Maintain order of cars on the curb for efficient valet operations
Qualifications
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
- Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
- Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
