Job Description
- Rotate between working behind the bar and tailoring a bespoke cocktail experience on the floor in a high-volume prestigious cocktail environment
- Work closely with Director of Food & Beverage and Liberte Manager on all aspects of beverage service and programming for Liberté Lounge
- Adhere to Sofitel Philadelphia service standards including thorough knowledge and exemplification of LQA guidelines
- Be the face of Liberté Lounge on certain promotional/media showcases
- Train all new bartenders and barbacks on service standards and recipes
- Ensure that all mise-en-place is consistently made each day
- Maintain flexibility for schedule to cover gaps when needed and be present at peak volumes
- Contribute to Menu creation and overall staff training including spreading knowledge of new products, spirits, wine, and technique
- Maintain quality and consistency of the beverage program
- Perform End-of-Month beverage inventory
- Ensure cleanliness, health and safety protocols, and hold other bartenders and barbacks accountable
- Commit to regular Admin/Prep days (as needed based on business volume)
- Perform supervisory shifts on occasion
- Perform other duties assigned by manager (i.e. Administrative duties, assisting in all aspects of the operation, etc.)
Admin Responsibilities:
- To be completed either on a separate scheduled day or during slow periods behind the bar
- Check prep stock for each week, prep syrups/infusions/batches
- Inventory available glassware for bar and restock as needed
- Weekly beverage requisition for liquor and beer order as per Par levels
- Reconciliation of beer and wine between requisition and sales
Supervisor Shift Responsibilities:
- Perform duties of floor supervisor in their absence such as: clearing tables, running food, greeting guests, addressing guest feedback, and end of night reporting, etc.
- Hourly wage is to be adjusted to a Supervisory wage
Qualifications
- Qualified candidate will be personable, articulate and have at least 2 year of previous bartending experience in an upscale, high end restaurant or 4 diamond hotel
- Knowledge of Silverware is a plus, or two years’ experience with a comparable restaurant software system.
- Candidate should have experience in opening and closing shifts, table service, wine service, knowledge of food and wine pairing, knowledge of high-end liquors and aperitifs and experience with a high end bar menu.
- Qualified candidate will be pleasant, well spoken, gracious and willing to go above and beyond to ensure guest satisfaction.
