Controller

Accountants One retained to help a growing home services company identify and hire a Controller. This is a great organization with over 30 years of success and growth that is gearing up for expansion. The controller will manage an experienced staff and help with process improvement, automation and reporting.

This is a great opportunity for someone to make an impact on an organization and grow into being a part of the executive team. The successful candidate must have strong Sage Intacct experience. The successful candidate will have a natural curiosity and initiative to improve processes. This role requires natural leadership skills, genuine and authentic personality with straightforward communication style.

Job Duties include:

• Manage accounting staff in daily / weekly accounting duties to include invoicing, purchase orders, A/P, A/R, and payroll.
• Perform month-end close and produce monthly financial statements for the executive team
• Prepare monthly reporting package with variance analysis and forecasting
• Prepare weekly cash forecasting and cash flow model
• Assist with elevated collections issues
• Maintain CPA firm and banking relationships
• Work closely with operations to improve billing and increase profit margins

Job Requirements:

• Accounting or Finance degree required, CPA a plus
• Sage Intacct experience a definitive requirement
• Home Services / Construction oriented industry experience preferred
• Proven experience building, managing and developing an accounting team
• Experience improving and automating processes
• Experience working with department heads for budgeting and variance reporting
