What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Controller position at Accountants One?
Accountants One has been hired by a small ($10M) leading distributor/manufacturer of exhibitor construction systems in Lithia Springs to find a Controller to replace a 20-year retiring employee. The ideal candidate will serve as second in command in the organization of about 32 employees, overseeing a staff of 2-3 in the accounting department.
The company has experienced steady growth and is highly focused on sustainability. They are a franchise covering the US and Canada, and part of a global organization with locations in 20 countries worldwide.
The goal of the controller will be to maximize return on financial assets by establishing financial policies, procedures, and reporting systems and report to the President or Board of Directors the company's progress, maximize cash returns with limited risks, guide financial decisions, prepare and monitor budget, ensure compliance with federal and state requirements, work with external auditors, direct the operations of the accounting department, business office, personnel and payroll, coach and develop staff, and IT management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- 1-3 years of senior management experience
- Manufacturing cost accounting experience
- Inventory experience
- Strong business acumen
- Outstanding reporting skills
- Technical IT skills, ability to navigate software ERP systems

Salary : $120,000 - $135,000
