Senior Accountant - 100% in-office - Prefer to have home-building experience.
Accountants One has a successful growing homebuilding and development firm in northeast metro Atlanta and has an immediate need for a Senior Accountant. The company does have excellent healthcare benefits, and a bonus and it is 100% in the office. This Senior Accountant reports directly to the CFO, and Controller and will also work closely with the President. This is a unique opportunity to be a vital part of the management team of a growing company.
Responsibilities will include:
- Full cycle accounts payable with the help of a staff accountant
- Bank and intercompany reconciliations
- Review Accounts Receivable posting and sub-ledger maintained by the staff accountant.
- Prepare journal entries based on HUD loan closing packages
- Weekly analysis of budget to actual of construction projects
- Special projects as assigned by the Controller and President
- Some general administrative duties
Requirements:
- BS in accounting, Masters a plus, CPA a plus
- 5 years accounting experience
- Construction or project accounting
- Must have worked for a Home Builder -Residential
- Must have done month-end close and financial statements
- Sage experience a plus
- Someone very organized
