Job Description :
The Tax Staff Accountant is responsible for preparing tax returns, conducting tax research, and assisting clients with tax compliance matters. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Key responsibilities include :
- Preparing individual, corporate, partnership, and other tax returns in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Assisting in tax planning strategies and identifying potential tax-saving opportunities for clients.
- Conducting research on various tax issues and preparing memoranda to summarize findings.
- Analyzing financial statements and supporting documentation to ensure accurate tax reporting.
- Assisting with tax audits and responding to inquiries from tax authorities.
- Maintaining detailed and organized tax work papers and documentation.
- Keeping up to date with changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and provide accurate guidance.
- Collaborating with team members and clients to address tax-related questions and concerns.
- Supporting senior accountants and tax managers in special projects and tax consulting engagements.
