CPA firm is seeking a tech savvy and confident Remote Accounting Manager to join their family-oriented firm.

Compensation : $80,000- $90,000 DOE
Accounting Manager (Remote) Responsibilities :
Client Financial Management : Oversee the preparation and review of client financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP or other regulatory frameworks.
Client Consultation : Serve as a key point of contact for clients, providing advice and guidance to help them meet their business goals and navigate complex accounting issues. Ability to take the lead and initiative on new clients.
Team Leadership & Collaboration : Supervise a team of accountants and bookkeepers with assigned client accounting projects at varying complexity levels for a diverse group of clients. Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure quality and efficiency in client deliverables. Collaborate both internally and externally.
Process Improvement : Identify opportunities for process optimization both within the firm and for clients, recommending and implementing technology solutions or improved accounting processes.
General Ledger Oversight : Ensure the accurate and timely maintenance of general ledger accounts for clients, including account reconciliations, month-end closings, and year-end processes. Heavy accrual accounting experience is a must.
Client Relationship Management : Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing concerns and anticipating their needs proactively.
Business Development Support : Work with partners to identify opportunities for new client acquisition and service expansion within the firm.
Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
5 years of experience in accounting with at least 2 years in a management or supervisory role.
Extensive knowledge of GAAP, tax law, and financial reporting requirements.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, BILL, Slack, Expensify, accounting applications, etc.) and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Strong interpersonal and client communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage client relationships effectively.
Team player. Ability to collaborate with all team levels.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong leadership skills with a track record of developing and mentoring junior staff.
