Key Responsibilities:
- Machine Setup and Operation:
o Set up and operate bag machines and support equipment to produce bags according to line orders and specifications.
o Adjust machines for size, pressure, tension, and ink distribution to ensure optimal performance.
- Production Management:
o Read and verify production line orders/dockets to ensure accuracy.
o Load materials and mount cylinders for printing and bag production.
o Monitor production runs to identify and resolve stoppages, breakdowns, or other operational issues.
- Quality Assurance:
o Perform quality checks on finished products and document results.
o Ensure products meet customer requirements and company standards.
- Documentation and Reporting:
o Complete daily production paperwork, including records of output, downtime, and maintenance activities.
- Workplace Safety and Maintenance:
o Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhering to all safety guidelines and protocols.
o Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines to prevent breakdowns.
Qualifications:
- Education & Experience:
o High School diploma or equivalent required.
o Prior experience in operating bag machines or similar equipment preferred.
- Skills & Abilities:
o Ability to read and interpret production orders and specifications.
o Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve mechanical issues efficiently.
o Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality of finished products.
o Ability to maintain focus and productivity in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical Requirements:
o Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
o Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and moving parts.
- Other Requirements:
o Eligible to work in the United States.
o Successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
o Ability to work overtime as required.
o Completion of training courses as determined by management.
o Willingness to continue learning and developing within the role.
