- Overall 10 years of progressive experience in Information technology, with 5 years in technical leadership in a Data Management or Data Office designing and implementing data governance platforms/solutions.
- 5 years’ experience in Data Governance, data catalog, and data stewardship.
- Experience working on Alation as an implementation and integration engineer.
- Deep understanding of data governance capabilities including data catalog, data dictionary, business lineage, technical lineage and stewardship workflows.
- Hands-on experience with configuration and maintenance of catalog tools Alation (required), Collibra, Informatica or similar desired.
- Prior experience in defining and implementing a comprehensive data catalog using Alation.
- Prior experience in installing and configuring data sources in Alation
- Configure metadata extraction and query log ingestion
- Hands-on experience with programing languages SQL, HTML, Java, Python and others.
- Hands-on experience with on-boarding metadata from various sources including SQL Server, Oracle, Azure cloud and others.
- Understanding of cloud technologies Azure (preferred), Google, AWS and Snowflake.
- Understanding of ETL technologies such as MuleSoft, ADF, Talend, SSIS.
- Familiar with data quality practices and its integration with data catalog.
- Comfortable working independently and with other teams/vendors to resolve issues.
- Good communication and writing skills.
