- Oversees the detailed analysis of company expenses, including those related to manufacturing, inventory, and sales, ensuring that all transactions are recorded accurately and appropriately for insightful financial reporting.
- Responsible for creating monthly financial reports that highlight any deviations from budget and forecasts, focusing especially on the cost of goods sold to guide strategic decisions.
- Provides in-depth financial analysis and reporting, including breakdowns of project costs and forecasts, to uncover opportunities for improving efficiency and managing expenses more effectively.
- Maintains and updates standard cost systems and processes, ensuring accurate inventory valuations and monitoring changes in labor and supply costs.
- Ensures compliance with standard operating procedures and supports financial, inventory, and JSOX audits, contributing to cross-departmental budgeting and forecasting to ensure precise financial planning and analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business is required; a CMA certification would be an advantage.
- A minimum of three years of experience in a manufacturing setting, with a solid grasp of cost accounting principles and practices.
- Exceptional analytical skills, strong organizational abilities, and meticulous attention to detail, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with experience in preparing comprehensive reports and supporting various audits, including financial, inventory, and JSOX compliance audits.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across departments, maintain and document standard cost procedures, and assist with audits and compliance tasks.
