THE DETAILS: On-site 4 days a week in Charlotte
WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:
- Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a variety of contracts, including vendor agreements, service contracts, and transportation partner agreements.
- Advise on legal and regulatory compliance, including antitrust, trade regulation, employment law, and HSSE policies.
- Assist in litigation and pre-litigation matters, including fact-gathering, settlement negotiations, and coordination with outside counsel.
- Develop and implement corporate policies, compliance programs, and internal contract management procedures.
- Conduct legal research, provide risk analysis, and train company personnel on contract best practices and compliance issues.
BACKGROUND THAT FITS:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and member in good standing of a state bar, with eligibility for NC admission.
- 5-10 years of corporate law experience, preferably within a corporate legal department or law firm.
- Strong expertise in contract drafting, negotiation, and management, including vendor and transportation agreements.
- Experience with contract lifecycle management (CLM) systems, with preference for Contract PodAI (CPAI) or similar tools.
