- Optimizes transportation, warehousing, and distribution to reduce costs while maintaining high service levels for regional customers.
- Leads adherence to EHS policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices in handling hazardous and non-hazardous materials, ensuring risk mitigation and operational safety.
- Develops and executes cost-effective logistics solutions, negotiating with third-party providers to improve efficiency and minimize expenses across the supply chain.
- Assesses logistical risks and implements strategies to ensure seamless operations despite market fluctuations, regulatory changes, or supply chain disruptions.
- Manages relationships with 3PLs, carriers, and service providers to improve service quality, ensure compliance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders across supply chain, operations, and business units to align logistics strategies with corporate objectives and growth plans.
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management with 10–15 years of progressive experience, including at least 5 years in the chemicals industry.
- Strong background in transportation, warehousing, and distribution, with experience managing multi-modal logistics (rail, freight, marine, and bulk transport).
- In-depth understanding of import/export procedures, customs regulations, contract law, and EHS standards related to hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
- Ability to analyze logistics data, manage costs, and negotiate third-party contracts to drive efficiency and cost savings.
- Proven experience in leading and developing teams, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and implementing supply chain transformation strategies.
- Working knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems, strong skills in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and the ability to leverage KPIs and metrics to optimize logistics performance.
