- Oversee all accounting functions on a cash basis, including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger transactions, ensuring accurate financial reporting and reconciliations
- Collaborate with the CEO and Finance Committee to create the annual budget, monitor variances, and provide timely financial analysis to leadership
- Manage investment activities, support the Investment Committee, and communicate with banks and investment managers
- Serve as the primary contact for the annual financial audit and Form 990, ensuring compliance with financial policies and internal controls for fundraising events
- Develop and enforce accounting and regulatory policies to safeguard chapter assets and ensure adherence to internal controls
- Prepare for National compliance audits, maintain essential legal documents, and train staff to ensure transparency and adherence to regulations in all operations
- Oversee HR functions, ensuring legal compliance in recruitment and compensation; develop personnel policies, manage payroll, and administer benefits
- Mentor staff, maintain employee files, lead performance reviews, and collaborate with the CEO to implement best practices in nonprofit management
- Manage technology and database operations, coordinating with National services and vendors for hardware and software support
- Oversee facility operations, including vendor selection and maintenance schedules, while managing regional office rentals and tracking capital campaign progress
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
- Previous non-profit financial management experience with 7 years of progressive leadership experience
- Dynamic and detail-oriented professional with strong organizational and interpersonal skills, demonstrating executive presence.
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities efficiently with minimal supervision while maintaining composure in challenging situations.
