We are seeking a Staff Accountant to be part of our team. In this role you will apply GAAP principles to provide timely accounting services to our clients.

What You’ll Do:
- Manage bookkeepers to ensure that all cash and credit card transactions are recorded daily and are recorded in compliance with internal quality standards.
- Liaison with Client to resolve questions and improve processes.
- Record various journal entries throughout the month across various clients, including payroll, debt, and shared services allocations.
- Record journal entries for property acquisitions, refinances and dispositions.
- Preparation of various custom recurring client reporting and analysis.
- Review of cash and credit card reconciliations prepared by bookkeepers.
- Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations during month-end close process.
- Preparation and delivery of monthly reporting packages to Engagement Controllers
- Oversight of Client’s accounting software instance in compliance with Firm standards, including Chart of Account management and Custom Report management.
What We’re Looking For:
- Technical Accounting: Strong foundational understanding of US GAAP.
- Ability to meet deadlines: This role will be a crucial piece to ensuring that we meet our month-end close deadlines and deliver on our services in the timeline promised to our clients.
- Communication Skills: This role will occasionally be client facing, whether by email, phone or video conference. Ideal candidate is able to professionally communicate with our Clients as required.
- Drive: We are looking for a self-starter to play an active role in the enhancement and evolve our systems, process and most importantly, our client deliverables.
- Software: Working knowledge of accounting software and/or ERPs. Knowledge of Quickbooks Online, Appfolio or larger ERPs is desired.
- Strong Excel skills: Strong Excel skills are necessary. Ability to perform analysis and reconciliations efficiently and in a repeatable way is crucial.
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
- Work Experience: 1-2 years previous accounting experience.

Compensation: $50,000-$65,000. We are a fast-growing company looking for a long-term individual with an entrepreneurial mindset and passion to help further stabilize and grow our company.
