NOTE: CHATTACHOOCHEE VALLEY COMMUNITY COLLEGE OBSERVES EASTERN TIME. Under the general direction of the Director of Admissions/Registrar, the Assistant Director of Admissions will support the Director of Admissions/Registrar with maintaining oversight of several critical admissions and registrar functions, along with implementing policies and procedures relating to admissions, student records, registration, and graduation. This position works directly with admissions staff to effectively provide services to students, perspective students, faculty, and staff. This position provides assistance to the Admissions Office in the development, maintenance, and storage of student records.Salary: Appropriate placement on Salary Schedule C3, Rank 1: $49,493-$78.307, which is based on years of directly related full-time experience. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Other duties may be assigned by the Director of Admissions/Registrar, the Dean of Students and Campus Services, and/or the President: 1. Maintain regular and predictable attendance. 2. Assist the Director of Admissions/Registrar in evaluation, improvements, and implementation of Admissions software (i.e. Banner, TargetX, Admissions AXIOM CRM, National Student Clearinghouse, Degree Works, Parchment, etc.) and technological advancements to support the role of the Admissions Office. 3. Evaluate applications for prospective candidates for graduation and certificates. 4. Maintain and process status for nursing admissions, probations, suspensions, and exclusions. 5. Maintain and process status for students who are readmitted on appeal through the Admissions Review Committee.6. Consult with faculty to determine appropriate transfer credit to award.7. Assist with the upkeep of the College's official record to ensure transfer of all past, current, and future student records are in digital format for easy storage and retrieval. 8. Assist with the coordination of the College's registration processes.9. Ensure compliance with FERPA guidelines and provide guidance to College employees on FERPA. 10. Supervise, train, evaluate, and provide work direction to assigned office staff.11. Evaluate and process all eligible requests for academic bankruptcy and course forgiveness allowed under College policies. 12. Process enrollment verifications and student change of information.13. Prepare, verify, and distribute graduate rosters and enter graduate grades. 14. Collect grades and ensure grades are recorded each term. 15. Assist in the processing of end of the term reports for the semester and correct Admissions DAX Error Report for the updated term report. 16. Serve on committees and campus professional development. 17. Serve as a liaison for the nursing department ensuring all updates in nursing procedures for admission are integrated into the nursing department's acceptance process. 18. Collaborate with the College's departments. 19. Assist with processing student add/drops and withdrawals each semester.20. Assist with registration and schedule adjustment processes.21. Assist with processing outgoing transcript requests as needed (official and unofficial requests).22. Assist with graduation rehearsal for students and graduation ceremony for the College. 23. Assist in monitoring the annual departmental budget.24. Prepare graduate diploma and certificate information for digital and hard copy printing.25. Assist in catalog changes and updates. 26. Maintain involvement in appropriate professional development organizations.27. Serve as backup to Admissions Assistants, as needed.28. Assist in building term data for the Workforce Development Program in Banner and Elevate.29. Work with ACCS Senior Business Analyst and Banner Functional Student Support. 30. Assist in the setup and build of data in Banner and conduct validation from Alliant to Banner. 31. Perform other duties as assigned. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Adhere to all policies and procedures set forth by the College.2. Maintain confidentiality of identified sensitive information and of departmental information. 3. Remain current in an enhance professional knowledge and skills through professional development and continuing education. 4. Interact with and serve diverse student and employee populations in a courteous and friendly manner. 5. Adhere to College standards of professionalism and confidentiality, including courteous and friendly interaction with other CVCC employees. 6. Maintain appropriate work hours as outline in State and College policies and assigned by the supervisor or dean. 7. Recruiter potential students, both traditional and nontraditional, to the College, and assist in retention efforts. 8. Represent the institution in a positive manner. 9. Participate in advance registration, regular registration, and schedule adjustment as assigned. 10. Serve on committee as assigned.11. Participate in the College's planning process.
