The College Recruiter plays a vital role in promoting Drake State Community and Technical College to prospective students, community partners, and other stakeholders. This position is responsible for engaging with prospective students, collecting and analyzing recruitment data, advising students, and assisting with new student orientation. The College Recruiter will work closely with faculty, staff, and external partners to increase enrollment and support student success. This position reports to the Director of Admissions and Enrollment Services.Appropriate placement on the Alabama Community College System Board of Trustees Salary Schedule E2, Grade 3Salary Range $45,220 - $62,710 (12 months, Non-Exempt)Salary step placement is based on education and experience, as per Drake State’s practice for awarding salary step credit.Work Hours: 8:00 am - 5:30 pm Monday - Thursday and 8:00 am 12:00 pm Friday

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The College Recruiter shall perform the duties as specified in conformity with policies established by the Alabama Community College System Board of Trustees and the Drake State Community and Technical College Faculty and Staff Handbook. RECRUITMENT & OUTREACHDevelop and implement strategic recruitment plans to attract prospective studentsRepresent the college at high schools, community events, career fairs, and industry expos.Build and maintain relationships with K-12 schools, community organizations, and business partnersConduct campus tours and coordinate recruitment eventsAssist in the development of marketing materials and social media outreach to enhance student recruitment effortsDATA COLLECTION & ANALYSIS: Collect, analyze, and report recruitment data to assess the effectiveness of outreach effortsTrack and monitor prospective student engagement and conversion rates.Utilize CRM systems and databases to manage recruitment pipelines and student inquiriesProvide regular reports on recruitment trends and student demographics to leadershipSTUDENT COLLECTION & SUPPORT: Assist prospective students in understanding admission requirements, financial aid options, and academic programsProvide guidance on career pathways, degree and certificate programs, and workforce training opportunitiesConnect students with academic advisors, faculty, and student support services to facilitate a smooth transition to collegeFollow up with applicants to ensure completion of enrollment stepsNEW STUDENT ORIENTATION & RETION EFFORTS: Coordinate and participate in new student orientation sessionsDevelop materials and presentations to help students acclimate to college lifeCollaborate with student services to create programs that promote student engagement and retentionAct as a liaison between new students and various campus departments to ensure a seamless onboarding experienceWORKING CONDITIONS: Office environment with regular off-campus travelFrequent interaction with students, parents, school personnel, and community partnersSome evening and weekend work required for recruitment events
