Under Alabama Act 2024-360 and revised ACCS Policy 204.01-Appointment of Local Administrative Staff, employment in any executive and administrative management position will be governed solely by the terms of a contract. Non-probationary/tenure status cannot be achieved or maintained under the Student’s First Act.The Director of Institutional Effectiveness and Quality collaborates with faculty and administration concerning the Institutional Effectiveness and Quality processes, maintains administrative responsibility for the Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Quality, assists with college-wide efforts to comply with Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) Principles of Accreditation, and recommends college-wide continuous improvement efforts. SalaryCommensurate with experience on Rank 02 of the 2024-2025 LBWCC C3 Salary Schedule.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Conduct a comprehensive program of educational research, institutional evaluation, and continual improvement to ensure that all evaluation processes focus on improving unit effectiveness and student outcomes.Maintain records of evaluation processes, including documentation that evaluation results are used to improve unit effectiveness and student outcomes, and work to ensure that others maintain appropriate documentation.Through the Strategic Planning and Operational Planning processes, assist in the ongoing evaluation of departmental strategies, goals, and measurable objectives to assure compliance with Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) Principles, as well as the respective standards of other professional accreditation agencies for programs at the College, such as those in the allied health professions.Conduct, coordinate, interpret, and report research studies, surveys, and statistical and other policy analysis to inform administrative and instructional decision-making, support long-range planning, and provide public accountability.Coordinate and disseminate the annual Employee Evaluation of College and Services, Student Evaluation of College and Services, Student Evaluation of Instruction, and all surveys listed in the Institutional Effectiveness Calendar on a timely basis.Collect, compile, and disseminate all Institutional Effectiveness information, reports, and surveys as appropriate for internal and external stakeholders on a timely basis. Respond to research requests from College administrators, faculty, and staff.Compile the College's Annual Fact Book and Fast Facts.Develop and analyze surveys using appropriate survey programs and software.Coordinate College data collection to respond to scheduled and ad hoc requests from various external agencies, including the Alabama Community College System (ACCS), the Alabama Commission on Higher Education (ACHE), the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), and the U.S. Dept. of Education Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS).Attend regional, state, and national conferences, seminars, and meetings to maintain up- to-date knowledge of institutional research and Quality methods and issues.Assist in planning and implementing innovative procedures and strategies.Assist with program accreditation requirements and reviews.Coordinate college-wide professional development opportunities.
