NOTE: CHATTAHOOCHEE VALLEY COMMUNITY COLLEGE OBSERVES EASTERN TIME. Under the direction of the Director of Adult Education, the employee is responsible for assisting the director in managing multiple adult education sites with particular emphasis on curriculum development, data analysis and program management. In addition, the employee will assist with developing and implementing programs to enhance student retention and success.This is a grant-funded position. Continued employment is contingent upon funding from the grant. In accordance with the provisions of the Students First Act, ACT-2011, non-probationary status is not attainable by virtue of employment in this position, the funding and duration of which are finite.Salary: Appropriate placement on Salary Schedule E2 03: $47,407-$62,710, which is based on years of directly related full-time experience.Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications as indicated on this vacancy notice and must submit a complete online application packet through the online application packet through the online application system by the deadline date in order to be considered for this position. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
1. Ensure the instructional program is delivered in a manner that serves the students best and reflects well on the institution, with the goal of moving more students toward the GED credential and higher education or employment. 2. Conduct constant review of Adult Education program data as collected by the AAESAP system. Meet regularly with data entry staff to ensure instructor compliance with reporting requirements.3. Ensure the instructional program is based on sound assessment, teaching, learning, support services, and continual program improvement. Identify and implement instructional programs that will increase GED/HSDO completions and increased Measurable Skills Gains (MSG). 4. Develop and conduct professional development activities under the supervision of the Director and ensure that each instructor achieves the required amount of professional development. 5. Remain current with curriculum changes, technological changes, and Adult Education software applications, and makes recommendations to the Director. 6. Instruct classes as needed.7. Assist the Director in conducting quarterly class site visits to monitor instructional program.8. Assist the Director with marketing the adult Education program in the College's service area.9. Assume other professional duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by appropriate personnel. 10. Regularly engage in professional learning activities and actively seek information about developing trends and ideas. 11. Comply with policies of the State Board of Education, the Department of Postsecondary Education, FERPA, the College and each assigned school.12. Coordinate activities with other College departments and external partners. 13. Represent and promote the career pathway programs.14. Assist students with career assessment and career exploration activities. 15. Conduct follow-up with program participants and offer advisement as needed.16. Collect data to support retention, promote student success, and increase completion rates. 17. Work effectively in a diverse community and meet the needs of diverse student populations. GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Adhere to all policies and procedures set forth by the College. 2. Maintain confidentiality of identified sensitive information and of departmental information. 3. Remain current in and enhance professional knowledge and skills through professional development and continuing education. 4. Interact with and serve diverse student and employee populations in a courteous and friendly manner.5. Adhere to College standards of professionalism and confidentiality, including courteous and friendly interaction with other CVCC employees. 6. Maintain appropriate work hours as outlined in State and College policies and assigned by supervisor or dean. 7. Recruit potential students, both traditional and nontraditional, to the College. 8. Represent the institution in a positive manner.9. Participate in advance registration, regular registration, and schedule adjustment as assigned.10. Serve on committees as assigned.11. Participate in graduation. 12. Participate in the College's planning process.13. Perform other duties as assigned.
