EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Performs grounds maintenance duties, including landscaping, lawn and plant care, and leaf removal. Operates equipment such as fork lift, lawn equipment, and floor buffers. Records and maintains accurate records of time, invoices, and materials. Observes safety regulations, uniform code, and all college policies. Makes recommendations to the Maintenance Supervisor regarding budget, safety, planning, etc., as it relates to specific responsibilities. Attend all job-related training programs. Serve on committees as assigned. Cleans and maintains equipment used by maintenance and custodial staff; reports equipment malfunctions to the appropriate supervisor. Assists crafts and trades workers as assigned; assists in deliver of supplies and moving furniture for College events. Assists in special projects of maintenance and cleaning during school breaks. Assists in custodial duties, including restrooms, offices, hallways, classrooms, and empty trash containers and transport to ventral waste disposal for assigned areas. Assist in replenishing bathroom supplies as needed for assigned areas. Assists in maintaining floors such as: sweep, scrub, wax and polish floors, using brooms, mops and power equipment of assigned buildings. Assist in vacuuming and shampoo carpets and rugs. Provides work direction and training to student workers.
