The primary responsibility of an Instructor is planning, organization, and instruction of courses. Instructors will be assignedto teach at varied times and locations based on student demand; day, evening, or weekend in Alexander City, Childersburg, Talladega, Prattville, or at other sites in the traditional classroom or via distance learning.This position will be based: Central Alabama Community College - Prattville campus (will also teach in Alexander City based on student demand)1320 Old Ridge RoadPrattville, AL 36066SALARY: Commensurate with education and teaching experience according to Salary Schedule D: ($46,590 - $72,709) - 9months; ($14,384 - $22,488) - 3 months (Summer);($60,974 - $95,197) - 12 months***** ANTICIPATED START DATE AUGUST 2025 (FALL TERM 2025) *****

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
1. Complies with all policies and guidelines as specified by the Alabama Community College System, Alabama Community College System Board of Trustees, and Central Alabama Community College and applicable federal guidelines.2. Develops and maintains course syllabi, course competencies, assessments, and outlines.3. Plans, organizes, and instructs all levels of courses.4. Works with Dean of Academic Programs, Division Chair and faculty to develop, evaluate, and review curriculum.5. Recommends textbooks and other instructional materials including classroom and laboratory equipment to Division Chair.6. Collaborates with Academics and Student Support Divisions to promote student success and increase student program completion.7. Monitors and analyzes student and program outcome data to ensure continuous improvement in achievement and maintenance of student success rates.8. Tracks and records student daily attendance as required.9. Provides student advising.10. Collaborates with the office of Student Services regarding class roster to ensure accurate student registration reporting.11. Develops or assists with development of instructional semester schedule.12. Develops or assists with development of distance learning courses and/or Web based courses.13. Maintains appropriate office hours.14. Serves on divisional and institutional committees.15. Participates in professional growth activities.16. Prepares and submits departmental budgets and requisitions for all purchases.17. Possesses the ability to travel to all campuses, meetings, and educational offerings.18. Performs other duties as assigned that relate to the position.
