The Strength and Fitness Coach plans, administers and manages fitness and strength training programs for the College’s Corps of Cadets. Responsible for designing and executing a for-credit physical fitness class for the Leadership Experience Program cadets, advises and assists other programs fitness activities to include the Service Academy Prep Program, 1st Responder Program, Marine Corps Platoon Leaders Class program and MMI’s Athletic Department. Assists cadets in developing individual weight & fitness training programs. Develops curriculum content for instructional classes in weight training and provides in-service education for instructors/coaches.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
In addition to adhering to general policies and guidelines specified by the ACCS Board of Trustees and the MMI Faculty/Staff Handbook, the successful candidate will also perform the following duties: Work in cooperation with the cadet health clinic and/or athletic training staff in the rehabilitation and strengthening of injured athletes. Design and implement policies and procedures for the strength and conditioning program in accordance with the NSCA Strength and Conditioning Professional Standards Guidelines. Design and implement a for credit physical fitness class.Assist with the design, organization and maintenance of fitness facilities.Assist other programs and athletic teams in the design of group fitness programs.Assist individual cadets in the design and execution of holistic fitness and weight loss programs.Other duties as assigned.
